Don’t Forget to Remember Me

I recently finished shooting the second video for Carrie Underwood’s new single “Don’t Forget to Remember Me,” and I had a blast! It should be illegal to have so much fun while working, and the final piece is going to be incredible. We shot on February 13th and 14th in downtown Nashville and on a large farm in Franklin known as the “Taproot Farm.” It was freezing cold the first day, and I felt really guilty making Carrie stand out in the winter winds dressed like it was summer, but she was a pro and gave us some amazing performance for the video. I often wonder, at times like those, if people truly realize how hard these artists work. It’s definitely not glamorous most of the time!

The second day was a bit nicer and warmed up after lunch (and by warm I mean like 55). The farm was a great location and Carrie’s mom was gracious enough to play her “video mom” for us. She did a bang up job and the scenes with she and Carrie are excellent. The crew was also amazing during the shoot, and I SO appreciate all their hard work. We had a great time, and I can’t wait to do it again!

The video, so I’ve been told, premieres on CMT March 16th . . . so keep your eyes peeled for Carrie’s next big hit!

Phil Vassar

Just finished working with Phil Vassar for the first time, and it was like meeting a long lost brother . . . a more talented, better-looking lost brother that is. hehe. We shot the music video for his upcoming single “Last Day of My Life.” It will be a completely effects-based video, and we shot the entire thing over green screen at a studio here in Nashville. I had an AWESOME time and was happy to learn that Phil is also a huge fan of a certain strange puppet movie with battle sequences and angry puppet fights. You can never go wrong with a good kickin’ puppet fight!!

The video is currently in post production and should be hitting the tube soon!
