Clay Walker FINISHED!

The new video for Clay Walker’s “‘Fore She Was Mama” is done!

I was definitely worried about this one in the beginning because I wrote a pool party treatment at the beginning of winter, and we weren’t sure if it was going to be too cold. I didn’t want to freeze poor mama out of her bikini and knew the kids weren’t going to be comforatble swimming in freezing winter. Lucky for us, we got some AMAZING weather on the day of the shoot. It was literally like summer, the pool we found was heated and everything went perfectly. What made things even better was Clay’s performance. He was awesome, and I had a blast working with him.

We spent most of the day at a skateboard park in the bottom of an emptied out pool. You wouldn’t know it from watching the video, but there were TONS of skate boarders tearing up the concrete in other similar pools next to us. It was pretty wild and definitely different.

The crew was amazing as always and a great day turned into a vivid, fun video. It’s now airing on CMT and GAC. So . . . check it out!

National 48 Hour Film Project

About a month ago some friends and I entered the 48 Hour Film Project. If you’re not familiar with the project. . . you pretty much write, produce, direct, etc. a short film in 48 hours, including the score and editing. It’s a HUGE undertaking, but I have to say that I haven’t been so tired or had so much fun in forever.

We recieved our genre at 7PM Friday night, which was SILENT FILM, and we were all kind of shell-shocked at first. What the crap were we going to do with silent film? After a few hours or bainstorming, we came up with the idea for our short film “The Silence,” which is a short, silent horror film.

Recently, we found out that our film made it to the final round of judging (out of 190 films). All of the films that made it into the final round will be on the 48 Hour Film website on December 22nd. So, check them out if you get a chance and feel free to vote on ours for the audience award. Hehe. It’s not a master piece by any means, but the experience was simply amazing.

I can’t wait to do it all again!
